Hygiene measures during first aid trainings

We ask you to take note of the following information and look forward to welcoming you to our premises under the points listed and to be fulfilled here:

  • Entering our building is allowed only with FFP2 or medical mask.
  • IMPORTANT: Wearing a protective mask is mandatory in the training rooms even if you keep the minimum distance. As soon as you are outside the training rooms (corridor, foyer, toilets, entrance area), the protective mask must also be worn.
  • Please observe the distances of at least 1.5 m.
  • Please wash and disinfect your hands regularly.
  • The size of the group will be adapted to the requirements on site and, if necessary, reduced in size to ensure the necessary safety distance.
  • During the course, attention will be drawn to currently modified procedures of practical first aid measures to be performed in an emergency, which are urgently recommended due to the currently high risk of infection. You will receive corresponding information in written form to take with you.
  • Please refrain from participating in our educational offerings if you show acute signs of a cold, feel ill, or have an acute illness.
  • Persons for whom health authorities have ordered home quarantine or other isolation measures are excluded from participation in events.
  • By taking note of and implementing this information, you are making a significant contribution to safety in our Red Cross First Aid courses.

Persons, companies or other institutions are hereinafter referred to as clients or course participants.

1. Course offer and registration
The advertised courses take place on the dates and at the times specified in the rooms designated by the BRK and are offered by the BRK in the course program and published by BRK on the Internet. Registrations will be considered in the order of their receipt. Registration is binding for the course participant. Registration for courses can be made

2. Participant fees/ accounting
The stated participant fee is due on the day of the event and is to be paid in cash to the course instructor. For corporate customers, there is the possibility of invoicing, if this has been agreed in advance. For company first aiders, we require the completely filled out and stamped "Form of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association". This form is usually handed over to the course instructor by the course participant. Please observe the regulations of the relevant employers' liability insurance association. Participant fees that are not covered by the employers' liability insurance association will be invoiced to the client. If the form is not received by 10 working days after the event at the latest, the client will be invoiced at the valid fee rate of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association. Cancellation of the invoice is no longer possible from this point on by submitting the form later.

3. Cancellation fees
Cancellations of participation will only be accepted in writing and confirmed by BRK in the same form. For cancellations of participation up to 7 working days before the start of the course, no cancellation fees will be charged. For Cancellations up to 2 days before the start of the course will be charged 50% of the course fee. In case of later cancellation or no-show, the full fee will be charged, regardless of the reason for the cancellation. The demand of the cancellation fee is directed to the course participant or the client. The cancellation fee does not apply if a substitute participant is named who will take part in the course. The substitute participant can participate without prior registration and informs the course instructor of this.

4. Cancellation of the course
The BRK can cancel the offered course up to 14 calendar days before the start of the course without giving reasons. Up to 5 working days before, a cancellation can be made by the BRK due to insufficient number of participants. BRK will cancel the course at short notice in the event of force majeure or extraordinary events (e.g. fire, flood, etc.) as well as in the case of short-term illness of the course leader. Claims against the BRK are excluded in these cases. Substitute dates will be published on the Internet or agreed with the client.

5. Closed courses/in-house training courses
In-house training courses on the client's premises are held with a minimum of 14 participants. The client is obliged to provide a suitable training room with 2.5 sqm floor space/participant, but with a minimum floor space of 25 sqm, as well as available media (flip chart, beamer, pinboard or whiteboard). Should the number of participants fall below the minimum number, the client will be charged at least an amount corresponding to the
participation of 14 persons. Should the minimum number of participants fall below 9, the BRK reserves the right not to start or continue the course. The maximum number of participants is in principle 20 persons.

6. Confirmation of participation
Successful participation in the course requires, among other things, active practice of the measures presented and active cooperation at the stations set up. This will be confirmed with a certificate of participation.

The BRK assumes no liability for valuables or clothing brought by the participant during the event. The BRK assumes no liability for personal injuries, if these are not directly related to the exercise instructions. The BRK is only liable to clients and course participants in the event of intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty by its employees.
